Kate Langbroek has hit out after her radio show The 3pm Pick-Up was canceled by KIIS FM last week.
The Project star has accused KIIS FM of favoring their biggest stars, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who appear on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
“What they do with their radio station is their business and it’s no secret that KIIS is very focused on Kyle and Jackie,” she told the I’ve Got News For You podcast.

“Kyle and Jackie are amazing, I totally get that, but if you want other stars in your stable, you have to be willing to treat them like stars, and if you don’t, that’s fine.”
Kate was coy when asked what led to the axing of The 3pm Pick-Up.
“Well, look, I’m just saying this: sometimes you just can’t agree. And if you can’t agree, you better break up,” she said.

A spokesperson for KIIS FM told Daily Mail Australia: “We are sad to see Kate, Monty and Yumi end the year with their last show on December 16. We wish them all the best for the future. ‘
It comes after Kate’s co-star Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond took a farewell photo of her former employer shortly after the news broke and accused channel bosses of not offering “acceptable terms” for a contract extension.
She posted a farewell message on Instagram thanking her friends and colleagues before turning to running KIIS FM.

“Pity that the Lord of KIIS could not give us acceptable conditions to continue, but dry your tears!” she wrote.
Dimond went on to tell her followers that they can still hear her “soft tone” on her popular Show and Tell podcast.
Her farewell post began with the words: “After doing The 3pm Pick Up on radio for eight years, it’s time to put the headphones on.
“It was the BEST job in the world! I was lucky to work with a great little team and my god we giggled EVERY DAY!”

The radio host thanked her co-presenters Yumi Stynes and Kate Langbroek for all the work they have “phoned into the microphone” together over the past few years.
She thanked others, including her producers and former hosts Bec Judd and Chrissie Swan, “who all played a huge part in this all-female powerhouse of a show.”
A long-running KIIS FM radio show, The 3pm Pick Up, will air its final show at the end of the year.

The news causes presenters Langbroek, Stynes and Dimond to lose their jobs, because the program is resting after 11 years on the air.
Industry rumors suggest The 3pm Pick-Up will be replaced by Life Uncut, a podcast and weekend radio show hosted by Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.
The pair have reportedly signed a multi-million dollar deal with ARN, parent company of KIIS FM, to expand their role on the network.

The future of 15:00 bakkie looked uncertain for weeks before ARN finally pulled the plug last Friday.
In a statement, ARN Chief Content Officer Duncan Campbell thanked Langbroek, Stynes and Dimond for their years of hard work.
“The 15:00 Pick-Up has enjoyed enduring popularity thanks to her infectious humor and relatable stories. We are really sad that they are ending,” he said.
“Their departure is in no way a reflection of the skill of these highly respected hosts or the success of the show.”
