

Deviation paid tribute to Take off while attending the rapper’s funeral on Nov. 11, ten days after Takeoff was tragically killed in Houston, Texas. Until then, the 30-year-old “Only You” rapper had kept quiet about the death of his former Migos bandmate. And from a newly released video of Takeoff’s funeral, which you can watch below, we can now assume that Offset’s silence is likely due to him being extremely distraught over the death of his friend.

Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Palla, died in a shooting at 810 Billiards and Bowling in Houston. Police arrived on the scene at 2.30am on November 1st. The Migos star was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the head and neck. Although they did not release the names of the victims at the time, police confirmed one person “died on arrival” at the airport crybaby🇧🇷
Offset and Takeoff formed Migos, along with Quavo, in 2008. The group had an initial hit with the 2013 single “Versace” and released a few different mixtapes in the early years. The group released their debut album. rich young nation in 2015. Migos went viral with their 2016 hit “Bad and Boujee”, which appeared on their 2017 album Culture (the first of three albums in a trilogy, completed in 2021). The group was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album for “Bad and Boujee” and Culture, respectively, in 2018.
After the release of the group Culture, They have been taken to a new level of fame, collaborating with tons of other big music industry stars, even appearing in a Katy Perry music and welcome collaborations from the likes of Travis Scott, Drake, Nicki Minaj and many others.

Prior to Takeoff’s death, the Migos were rumored to have broken up. While none of the members publicly stated that the group was over, Offset and his wife cardi b both unfollowed Takeoff and Quavo on Instagram in May. After Cardi and Offset unfollowed the Migos members, Quavo and Takeoff appeared great facts podcast in early October and made a “loyalty” comment when asked about the possibility of another album. “I feel like we want to see our careers as a couple because we know we come from a loyal family,” Quavo said.
Although a split between the group was never confirmed, Quavo and Takeoff teamed up for an album without Offset: Created for infinite links only🇧🇷 It hit streaming services in early October and although it featured two of the group’s founding members, it didn’t launch under the Migos name. Offset reportedly unfollowed his bandmates after they released their debut single without him.
