The scale is amazing.
The eighth season of “Game of Thrones” disappointed fans of the popular show with a bleak image and unexpected behavior from Daenerys. But just one episode could change the impression.
The secrets of the project, after the release of the finale, were revealed by the director of several episodes, Miguel Sapochnik. According to him, in the beginning he wanted to kill all the characters he loved in general in order to break the usual framework. But the writers were against it.
Sapochnik also had to get rid of the scene of a full-scale battle of 50 direwolves led by the Ghost dog and a zombie dragon that belonged to the evil King of the Night. The creator spoke about this in an interview with the podcast “Director’s Toolkit”, writes CNet.com.
The epic battle was supposed to be included in the “Long Night” episode, but the authors gave up on it either because of the complexity of the graphics or because of the already stretched plot.
