The actor even went against the traditions of his family.

Actor Shia LaBeouf has miraculously recovered from severe depression after allegations of abuse. However, it was not easy to come into the light: the celebrity had to completely change their outlook on life.

A few years ago, the artist’s former girls accused him of psychological abuse. After that, LaBeouf was removed from filming the film and, on reflection, decided to turn to doctors for psychological help. That period was the most difficult period in the life of an actor, he even had to deal with suicidal thoughts. The way out was unexpected – LaBeouf, professing Judaism, came to Christianity.

It happened on the set of Padre Pio. In this film, LaBeouf played an Italian monk. While preparing for the role, the actor went to a real Catholic monastery, lived there, and after frank conversations with the monks, he decided to get baptized himself.

“I didn’t want to be alive when all this happened. It was a shame I’d never felt before, such a shame that you forgot to breathe. You don’t know where to go,” the actor recalled on the podcast Bishop Barron Presents.
