Being a comic book villain’s girlfriend is too mundane.
Warner Bros. officially announced the release date of the second part of the “Joker”. The premiere will take place on October 4, 2024. And not so long ago, it was announced that Lady Gaga has joined the cast of the new film. After that, the media vied to trumpet that the singer would play the Joker’s famous girlfriend, Harley Quinn. Film critic Oksana Agapova believes that Gaga is too big for such a role and they will find a more original use for her.
The expert recalled that throughout her career, Lady Gaga has surprised audiences with provocative images, which can come in handy in a movie like Joker.
“Lady Gaga is a pretty edgy, edgy character. She’s quite outrageous. And we can expect her to appear as some sort of atmospheric, visually outrageous hero that fits perfectly into the Joker universe,” Agapova said in an interview with PopCornNews.
The expert emphasized that the Joker itself was not tied to DC comics, but was an independent work based on the motifs. Therefore, it would be strange to expect the appearance of already known characters in the sequel.
