His pursuit of fame can have dangerous consequences.
Brendan Fraser has punched himself in the ass for his new role in The Whale. The actor gained weight from his 95 kilograms to 272. Such dedication to the profession, it seems, can be envied.
However, nutritionist Alexei Kovalkov believes that the Mummy star will have serious consequences. The expert is sure that Fraser arrived under the supervision of doctors. However, this does not insure against the harmful effects of excess pounds on the body.
“Anything can happen: the destruction of the cardiovascular system, the flora of the gut, the liver and the kidneys, and even the spinal column with joints. Obesity is a systemic disease. It affects all organs,” the expert said in an interview with PopCornNews.
Kovalkov added that the actor will spend as much on treatment as he will receive for the role, and it will not be possible to return to form soon. The doctor warned that a maximum of five kilos can be lost in a month, which means that Fraser will have to lose weight for more than a year.
