Netfliks removes the spin-off “Wenzen” about the most underrated member of the Addams family

After the success of the two seasons, De Wenes Netflix officially works on the spin-off dedicated to Uncle Fester-the charismatic and eccentric family member of the main character.

The fact that the project is really progressing was told by Fred Armisen himself, who embodied the image of the Fester in the first and second seasons of the “Wenes”. In a recent interview with the Jimmy Fallon show, the actor confirmed:

“Yes, we are working on this. It’s great … it’s just incredible.”

The plans for a separate series became known in December 2023, when Deadline reported that Netflix and MGM television started early development of spin-offs. Then there were few details, but now it is clear: the project is in an active phase and the makers are not going to do something secondary or banal.

In the original series, Armisen played the uncle of Fester – the younger brother of Gomez Addams (his role is played by Luis Gusman), who has the opportunity to generate electricity. This character appeared in both seasons of the “Wenes” and the fans already noted that the Fester is clearly not enough screen time.

The poor himself admitted that he did not experience pressure or excitement before he filmed the spin-off:

“Working on this is very nice. Everything is very organic. This is perhaps all I can say about my expectations. I like to come back to this image, because it has been around for many years. This is exactly what the work really fascinates.”

It is still unknown when Netflix exactly expects to release the spin-off on the air-to-be-misschien Fester’s Sololete, we will even see earlier than the 3rd season of the Wenzen, in which the two most restless members of the Addams family look for an Enid to Canada.
