The final of the “Laaden” is already on the scenes: an open end, a mysterious ring and a touch of continuation are attached.
Let’s start immediately with the most important. Real Naitan (Robbie Amell) really survived after the events of the third season – but not entirely in the form in which everyone hoped. Horizen managed not to destroy, but to make it a subject for a new loading version: when you can load consciousness while you stay alive.
But the price turned out to be too high: the brain gradually collapsed and after the set downloads, Nietan just couldn’t stand it.
He returned to Nora (Andy Hello), and they played the VR show instead of a dream of Montreal. Naitan managed to congratulate the gap on his birthday, the new year – and all possible holidays in advance. Then he left quietly. Forever.
This scene turned out not only to be heavy for the public, but also for the actors – according to Amella the most important thing was to prevent emotions from taking on the set.

But is it really the end? Here the ring comes into play.
While Naitan was caught by Horizen, he convinced one of the employees to retain his memories with Nora and to write them down on a flash ring that became her wedding. At the end we see a hole in a cafe when a message appears on the tablet: the ring tries to connect to his device. Question: This is still just a flash drive with photos or a touch of a chance to return Naitan – it remains open. The author of the Greg Daniels series himself explains:
“Sometimes it is important to give the viewer the opportunity to think about it. Spread with friends, build versions – this is all magical.”
Andy Hello (Nora) believes that it would be wrong for the heroine to return Naitan again – let the memories stay with her and for her life.
“I would like them to have warm memories to stay, but then she can go in her own way. This is love – sometimes the most important thing for a loved one can be done to let go.”
Robbie Amell agrees: even if Nora had the opportunity to ‘collect’ a new version of Naitan, this would not be true.
“For me this is not a Cliffhanther, but an album with memories. They said goodbye to Real.”
An honest thought sounds in the final: the strongest stories are not those where everyone is always happy, but where you have to fight for love and sometimes let go. “It is better to love and lose it than not to love at all,” Daniels summarizes something like that.
