There were no scenes at all after the credits in the previous parts. Even the final “How to tame the Dragon 3”, where Ikking and Astrid return to the Dragons, was part of the main timing.
The game version of “How to Tame A Dragon” added unexpectedly to the franchise that had never been to it before – a scene after the credits. However, the audience, which had been until the end, will not understand it.
In the epilogue, Ikking opens the “Book of Dragons” on an empty page where there must be information about the nocturnal anger. He takes out his personal notebook – with the sketches of the toothless – and gently put it on top of the page. A few seconds of silence, dimming, the credits continue – and nothing happens anymore.
Formally, this scene does not add anything to the plot – everything that is shown in it was already in the film itself. She does not give a hint of continuation, does not represent new characters and does not launch the plot interests. If it is not for the context of the entire franchise, it may only seem like a repeat of the last frame.

Nevertheless, in the context of the second part, this notebook is that becomes an important element. In the original sequel, Ikking uses it to make a map of unknown areas and to keep track of new types of dragons. That is why the choice of this specific episode can be seen as a scene after the credits as a symbolic transition to the next part.
But this only works if the viewer has already viewed the original “How to Tam A Dragon” and knows what will happen. The rest will probably leave the hall with the feeling that they had missed something important, although in fact they simply did not show them.
