Wonder again in the red: “Thunderers” set a shameful anti-record

Despite the positive reviews of critics and spectators, the “Thunderers” at the cash register fail and have already discussed the anti -rating of the most failed projects of the franchise.

To date, the collections of the world amount to $ 379.2 million – this is one of the worst results in the history of Marvel. In the coming days he will decide whether he will catch up with the “black widow”, who had $ 379.8 million, but even if he is successful, the photo will remain in the five weakest reimbursements. This is a failure for a film with such a budget and a brand.

This is the second project of the Marvel project, which cannot even reach $ 420 million: in the spring, Captain America failed in the same hole: New World, with $ 415.1 million. So three films of the six most failed, all fifth phase. Captain Marvel 2 previously landed there.

Which makes the situation especially uncomfortable for the studio – the “Thunderers” turned out to be surprisingly good. The film received 88% of the freshness of critics and 93% of the audience assessment on Rotten Tomatoes. But even this did not save the photo from failure: the viewer was just tired and the confidence in the brand was sagging.

In Russia the film was accepted cooler: the assessment in the Kinopoisk is held on 7.1.

All this happens against the background of a growing skepticism for the future miracle. Despite the declared grandeur of the sixth phase, the public falls. Nevertheless, the characters of the “Thunderers” have to return to the next large crossover “Avengers: Day of Judgement”, where they are Dr. Duma must come across. Filming is already going on in the UK, but the actors admit: they have not yet announced the plot.
