Emmerdale fans think they’ve come up with a major twist to wreak havoc on the city after Jamie Tate was spotted on the ITV soap opera.

Just a few months ago, Jamie’s horrific fate thereafter and her alleged death were exposed by Gabby Thomas, who later shared baby Thomas.

However, fans know that Jamie faked his death in a tragic car accident in September and has been living with his former stepmother Hazel and daughter Millie ever since.

In recent episodes, Will Taylor has learned that his partner Kim Tate’s son Jamie may still be alive somewhere and has started digging around the city.

Although he still has no concrete proof that he is alive, Will has secretly hired an investigator to find him.

Emmerdale fans think so

On Thursday (June 9), PI Mike asked Will to take a DNA test to compare little Thomas’s DNA to someone they had tracked down who looked a lot like Jamie.

The corrupt investigator charged £ 3,000 for the findings only to reveal that the man they saw couldn’t be Jamie as they didn’t match little Thomas’s DNA.

But some viewers have gone into electrifying history, and many now believe the DNA findings may have proven more than they initially thought.

Fans predict Jamie Tate is not Baby Thomas' biological father

While most viewers suggested that Mike was simply using Will for money, others suggested the possibility that Jamie wasn’t Thomas’s biological father after all.

Although there has been no hint of the father’s alternate identity, fans of the soap opera think they are on something as they flooded Twitter with their online theories.

One user wrote: “Just because the DNA doesn’t match doesn’t mean it’s not Jamie Tate. It could also mean that Thomas isn’t Jamie Tate’s son.

Many believe Jamie is still alive and will be returning to town.

Another agrees: “Do you think this story goes where we find out that little Thomas isn’t Jamie after all? I don’t know why they talk about it when he doesn’t even come back.”

A third said, “I think it’s Jamie, I don’t think the baby is hers,” echoed by a fourth viewer who said, “No, I don’t think Jamie is the father, the DNA doesn’t match.”

Emmerdale airs Monday through Friday at 7:30 pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
