The BBC has apologized after Len Goodman’s grandmother described how she referred to curry powder as “foreign mud” on a live broadcast of the BBC’s Platinum Jubilee.

The 78-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing judge was featured in the pre-election news alongside chief John Torode and presenter Kirsty Young.

The trio discussed the foods people would eat for their anniversary, and Kirsty asked Len if he had any cooking skills.

A spokesperson for BBC The Telegraph said their apology was “related to comments made in the episode of the show” in which Len appeared.
