“Percy Jackson” has found an actress to play Talia, one of the main characters in the series

The first film adaptation of the popular teen book series Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was released in 2010 and made actor Logan Lerman one of the most promising stars in Hollywood.

But the franchise with Lerman at the helm lasted only two films, and film adaptations of Rick Riordan’s novels were forgotten for a decade. Fortunately for fans of the saga about the heirs of the ancient Greek gods, Disney + remembered Percy Jackson in the early 2020s and released the series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” in 2023.

The first season of the series received average ratings – only 6,000 people watched it on Kinopoisk, who found it questionable 6.4 points.

But loyal fans of “Percy Jackson” were convinced that the series would only get better in the second season – the writers would work on the mistakes, and actor Walker Scobell would become even more immersed in the character of Percy.

Disney+ bosses really gave the makers of Percy Jackson another chance and renewed the series for a second season.

According to insider information, the show’s writers will finally introduce one of the most important characters from the original book series, Thalia, the daughter of Zeus, into the plot of Percy Jackson.

Producers have already found an actress to play Talia – she will be played by rising star Tamara Smart, best known for her role in the flop Netflix series Resident Evil.

“Thalia Grace is one of the most important characters in the Percy Jackson universe, so getting the right cast was extremely important. Thalia is a powerful warrior, a fiercely loyal friend, and a rebellious demigod with very “punk” sensibilities. As soon as we saw Tamara Smart in this role, we knew we had found our daughter of Zeus.” Riordan said.

The second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be released in 2025.
