Love Island newcomer Luca Bish admitted he was once attacked by Pizza Express fans while on a date with Saffron Barker.

The couple dated for “a few months” and was even seen having fun curled up in bed while saying “goodnight” to fans in an old shot.

She has now opened up to the media and other media about her time with the Strictly Come Dancing star, explaining that they attended the same school and met “through friends”.

Luca said: “We went to the same school in Brighton, and we met once, then there was, I don’t even remember … but we did something in a group and she was there and we both ended up.” at the time.

“Saffron had just gotten out of a relationship and that’s it, we hit it off. We are still very good friends! “

Fishmonger Luca said things didn’t work out between them due to Saffron’s “hectic lifestyle”.

He said: “He has a very busy lifestyle and I work in the fish business, which is a night game, so it was very difficult to exercise at the time.”

“I’d say the last time we talked was before he left for Los Angeles, just before, maybe a month and a half ago, but a little less than six months is when we dated. Just for a few months, we were with some times and have gone to a few dates.Now I see her as a good friend.

But things became real for Luca when the two were harassed by camera-wielding fans while enjoying a meal at the Pizza Express.

Luca explained that he was used to being in the public eye even before arriving at the villa.

He said, “I haven’t really talked to Saffron about going on the show, obviously it’s all confidential.

“But be close [family friend] Patsy Palmer and my mother have friends known to the public and with Saffron you get used to the scenarios that unfold.

“I think we went to the Pizza Express once, me and Saffron, and we had kids running to the window to photograph me pushing dumplings in my face!”

But he wasn’t put off by an appearance on the show, as Luca continued, “I’ve always been very reserved, even with Saffron, even with my ex, who had about 300,000 subscribers, I’ve always kept my private a lot.

“So the fans and all that really mean nothing to me. If I got eliminated in one day and ended up fishing again, then I was happy and I’m sure I will be again.
