It’s not as easy to find out as it seems.
“Futurama” remained on screens for a quarter century (!) and continues to delight audiences around the world.
However, many obstacles awaited the creators on the road to success.
The first series aired on the Fox Network from 1999 to 2003, followed by four full-length films released straight to DVD. The project was subsequently interrupted several times and was on the verge of closure.

In 2013, it was officially declared that the era of the cult animated series had come to an end, and nine years later, the video service Hulu announced the start of production on new series.
Thus, after almost a decade of silence and uncertainty, Futurama returned to the fans.
However, this journey led to an unforeseen side effect: multiple endings.

The fact is that, amid frequent cancellations, the show had the opportunity to complete all of its storylines more than once, resulting in several “final” episodes.
And each of them sounded like a final goodbye.
The showrunners are understandable, as they were never sure whether their brainchild would get a chance to return, and they wanted to present a worthy ending.

If we answer the question how many ‘final’ episodes there are in the series, we can say four:
- “The devil’s hands are idle toys”
- “In the wild green spaces”
- “Clockwise”
- “In the meantime”
As for the actual finale, it’s still too early to talk about that, as the show was renewed for two more seasons last year, and after that it may be picked up by another streaming service.
So it’s not time to say goodbye to Fry, Bender, Leela and others.
