Convincing, but…
Since November 2020, Supernatural fans have been unable to recover from the controversial ending.
The Winchesters stripped Chuck of his powers and simultaneously lost his divine protection, and as a result, the eldest of the brothers soon died in a battle with vampires.
Viewers were shocked that, after everything Dean had been through, his final words were spoken to Sam in an old barn and with an iron spike in his chest.

The actors themselves did not immediately decide on their feelings about the ending, but at the Creation Entertainment conference in Texas they explained why the screenwriters’ decision to kill off the hero was justified.
Jensen Ackles was happy that the hero did what he had to do and what he liked until the end: a family business.
“If he had gotten sick or been weak enough to be on his deathbed, it wouldn’t have looked as much like looking into his brother’s eyes with his head held high. So I’m happy with how it turned out,” Eccles said.
Jared Padalecki agreed with his colleague’s sentiment, adding that the creators emphasized one important fact:
“They’ve killed every monster they can think of, Satan and God, but at the end of the day, Sam and Dean aren’t superhumans, they’re just regular guys with flaws.”
And yet, despite all the assurances of a happy ending to the story, fans still don’t want to let go of their favorite characters.

Rumors of season 16 have been surfacing on the internet every now and then, with the film crew hinting that they are ready to return to the set.
The ongoing conversations confirm that death is not the most appropriate way to say goodbye to the best hunters of evil spirits, because they always have something to tell.
