Turkish TV series are not just snot and tears for 300+ episodes. There are really cool and dynamic plots that keep you in suspense from the first to the last episode. If you were looking for something like that, here are 3 excellent detective stories.
“Three Kurushes”, 2021
One of the Turkish neighborhoods is held in fear by a cruel murderer. He leaves money on the body of each of his victims – exactly three kurush. The main character is a real gypsy authority, he goes in search of the criminal and wants to take revenge on him according to all the laws of the street.
And the murderer is also wanted by a young detective who wants to bring him to justice. As a result, they both have to unite, because the one they are looking for is always one step ahead. The series was highly rated by Russian viewers – on Kinopoisk it got 8.4 points.
“Ideal Tenant”, 2022
The plot revolves around a journalist named Mona. She investigates a series of mysterious arsons. One day she meets a photographer named Yakup, who invites Mona to live with her, because the girl was evicted from her rented apartment by a dishonest tenant. But this move does not bode well.
The rating of the series is not so high (only 6.8 points), but viewers note that it is still interesting to watch. Two genres overlap very harmoniously here: drama and crime.
“Other People’s Secrets”, 2023
The action revolves around housekeepers who live in the houses of their wealthy owners. And so it happens that something terrible happens in one of the mansions: the nanny jumps out of the window. The heroines work together to find out what made the girl take this step.
The series is intriguing and very ironic. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids.
