The judge asked where the talent was after Ranger Chris’ performance, and fans of the ITV talent show wondered if this was a solution after a shock judgment from Simon Cowell.
Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams echoed the sentiments of viewers as he wondered where the talent was for a semi-final.
The show on Tuesday (May 31) saw eight other performers compete for a spot in the final and a chance to win a first prize in cash, as well as a seat in the Royal Variety Performance.
Among the performers were the armed forces children’s choir, daredevil Andrew Basso, and nine-year-old wizard Ryland Petty, who impressed Simon Cowell with his version of Harry Potter.
Also among them were ranger Chris and his army of dancing dinosaurs, who put on an elaborate performance.
Amanda Holden looked thrilled by the act and was dancing on her feet, but David was far from impressed.
After the show, David said, “I don’t really know what the talent is. You have friends who like to dress up as dinosaurs. “
He was greeted by audience boos and jumped off the sheet to shout “Boo!”
Alesha Dixon then said: “I told you during the auditions, I didn’t do it tonight because my daughter would have scolded me.”
David hit the bell to cut him off and Alesha laughed.
He then added, “You do a great job and I love you for it,” referring to the work Chris does in schools.
Viewers then turned to social media to praise David for “telling the truth”.
One person tweeted: “‘I don’t know what David Walliams talent is in your 20s. This is the first time I’ve agreed with you!”
Another said, “Come on David! Say what everyone at home was thinking.
One fan commented: “Davide always tells the truth”, while another said: “Did Simone and David change their personality? I thought David was supposed to be the funniest. “
Impressionist Ben Nickless is the winner of the public vote.
Piano / rap duo Flintz & Taylor then faced Amber and her Dancing Collies for a place in the final.
Viewers called the ITV show a “fix” as Simon voted to send Flintz & Taylor out.
One fan said: “BGT correct … Flintz and Taylor shouldn’t have passed for IMO … If Cowell can see the £ marks in his eyes.”
Another wrote: “What a solution! The dog’s number deserved better! “
One fan tweeted: “You were wrong Simon! Training one dog is difficult, training two is almost impossible. Dancing Collies should have been successful! “
