Britney Spears Applauds Justin Timberlake’s Performance on “Cry Me a River” with Cryptic New Post

Justin Timberlake took the stage and sang “Cry Me a River” in Las Vegas on December 13, and it wasn’t long before Britney Spears he reacted. Two days later, the pop star shared a cryptic video of a leopard and used the end of the caption to seemingly applaud her ex’s performance. “Psss [sic] I never mentioned that I beat him at basketball and he was crying… no disrespect!!!” the 42-year-old wrote in his post.

The “Radar” hitmaker’s comment was apparently a reference to a comment Justin made before his performance earlier that week (see the video here). Before singing the 2002 song, Justin made a cheeky comment. “No disrespect,” he said into the microphone in front of the audience. He later sang: “Aren’t we all just artists? I feel stupid and contagious. Yes, we are all simply artists.” Former British mixed Jay Zthe 2013 song “Holy Grail” and Nirvana“Smells Like Teen Spirit” with slightly changed lyrics to make its point clear.

Justin’s hit song apparently became controversial after Britney discussed the music video in her memoir. the woman in me. Brit stated that the music video showed “a woman who looks like me cheats on him and he wanders sadly in the rain”. The blonde beauty also noted that she didn’t like the way the video depicted the breakup, as it made her seem like a “whore who broke the heart of America’s golden boy.”

Shortly after Justin’s recent performance of the song went viral, many of Britney’s fans took to social media to criticize him for singing the song. “It’s about providing free entertainment on these cruises,” one person wrote, while another joked: “Ladies. “Everything was disrespectful.” This isn’t the first time Justin has performed the song in recent months, as he has performed it before David Chappelle50th anniversary party on August 24th. “They told me not to sing that song anymore,” she said at the time. “Fuck this!”

Britney and her ex dated from 1999 until their split in 2002. In her memoir, published in October, Britney dropped several bombshells about their relationship.
