He spent 23 days in the Celebrity Big Brother house before becoming the eighth person to be evicted in 2017.
After confirming the show’s return over the summer, Shaun Williamson offered some advice to potential new housemates.
After reflecting on his streak, which was eventually won by the late Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, he exclusively told MailOnline: “I was lucky!”
Shaun, 58, revealed that he received advice from his late friend Keith Chegwin, who made it to the final of the show two years earlier, and who gave him great advice.
He explained: “Keith told me to ask my agent for my own bed” before entering the house.

Shaun revealed that he was able to write his sleeping arrangements into his contract before the show and that he was lucky not to be in bed with his housemates during his time on the show.
While he was able to rest comfortably, he revealed that actually falling asleep was a problem as producers insisted everyone keep their microphones on until the last housemate went to sleep.
It was problematic for Shaun and his fellow early risers trying to get their 40 cups, with the likes of Sarah, Amelia Lily, Marissa Jade, Jemma Lucy, Brandy Glanville and Paul Danan often causing mischief into the early hours.
When next year’s housemates arrived, Shaun admitted: “Everyone in the bedroom will be complaining about the couple getting naked in the hot tub because we couldn’t sleep!”
While appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, Shaun is best known for his role as Barry in EastEnders.
Barry was killed in 2004 when Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) threw him off a cliff in dramatic scenes, but he believes there may be a way to bring him back.
EastEnders icons ‘Dirty’ Den Watts and Kathy Beale have both returned to Albert Square following their presumed deaths, but Barry is said to be more keen to return as a ghost.
“It would be a What a story!’ he thought. “I would like to know what the writers come up with.” Barry is hiding in Scotland, maybe with a broken leg!
“Every time people come back from the dead in EastEnders, the audience groans loudly, but the writers are so good – after a month it’s ‘fair enough’!”
“It will be nice to see the action. I’d like to be a ghost haunting Janine!’

Reflecting on Ricky’s recent backlash and the comedian’s “mission to get cancelled”, Shaun opined: “Ricky’s overseas concerts sell out. “Once you’re that big, you’re too big to get cancelled, unless you say something ridiculous.
“You have to be careful, but the way Ricky does it is smart. He’s intellectual.”
Shaun also credited his work on “Extras” with increasing his fame, arguing, “I think that’s the main reason ‘Barry’ never went away, because it reached a new dimension.” Generation with the Ekstras viewers.’
Currently Shaun is working on Deliveroo’s partnership with The Trussell Trust.

The choir sings to raise vital funds for food bank charity the Trussell Trust via Deliveroo’s in-app digest feature.
About the experience, Shaun said: “It’s a wonderful collaboration.” Singing carols brings back classic Christmas memories, but people find it awkward and often don’t answer the door.
For us, because we were so bad, we got a big response. We slammed the doors on the bus but the kids enjoyed it and threw a few quid at them!
