Actress Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have confirmed the arrival of their second child together in an announcement on social media.
The 22-year-old Stranger Things star and Bongiovi, 24, revealed on Thursday night that they expanded their family through adoption by welcoming a baby boy.
The couple shared a joint photograph on Instagram showing their hands clasped around the newborn infant. In the caption accompanying the picture, they greeted the child by writing hello little boy, while Brown wore a ring inscribed with the word mom.
American celebrity publication People had previously reported that the couple expanded their family through adoption. The official confirmation on Thursday followed days of growing speculation that the pair had quietly welcomed another child.
Holiday video in the Dolomites
Rumours began circulating on September 7 after Brown published a video clip of her family taking a walk in the Dolomite mountains in northeastern Italy. The alpine region, located in the Italian Alps, is widely celebrated for its dramatic limestone peaks, sweeping valleys, and popular walking routes.
In the video recording, Brown was seen holding their young daughter while Bongiovi walked alongside her. Bongiovi wore a baby carrier strapped securely across his chest, a wearable accessory commonly used by parents to hold a young infant comfortably against the body.
Social media users quickly noticed that a newborn child appeared partially concealed within the chest carrier as the couple strolled past alpacas on a mountain trail. The brief appearance led fans and entertainment commentators to question whether the family had already expanded.
Adoption journey and first daughter
The arrival of their son comes almost one year after Brown and Bongiovi announced that they had welcomed their first daughter into the family.
Brown shared that milestone in an Instagram post in August 2025, writing that they had welcomed their sweet baby girl through adoption that summer. She added that they were extremely happy to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood with peace and privacy, noting that their household would now be three.
Brown has spoken openly about her long-standing desire to build a family through adoption, addressing the topic during an appearance on the podcast Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce. The popular show is hosted by Kylie Kelce, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles American football player Jason Kelce.
During the interview, the actress shared that adopting a child had always been part of her childhood dreams. She told listeners that adoption is love and added that adoption is forever, explaining her personal commitment to welcoming children into her home.
Acting careers and married life
Brown achieved global recognition after being cast as Eleven in the hit Netflix science fiction drama series Stranger Things in 2016, earning critical acclaim and two Primetime Emmy nominations. She went on to produce and star in the title role of the streaming service's Enola Holmes film series in 2020.
Bongiovi, an American model and actor, is the son of rock music legend Jon Bon Jovi, the frontman and founder of the rock group Bon Jovi. Brown and Bongiovi have been in a relationship since 2021, with Brown frequently demonstrating a strong desire to build a family alongside her professional commitments.
The couple are now focusing on family life with their two young children at home, continuing to balance high-profile entertainment careers with the privacy they requested when first stepping into parenthood.
