Pop star Ariana Grande, 33, is taking a break from public life amid intense scrutiny over her weight and appearance. She indicated she will prioritize wellness during her downtime after liking a pointed Instagram post about getting healthier.
The video was shared on Tuesday by content creator Terri Cole, a New York-based psychotherapist and podcast host. Cole stated in the post, "Unfortunately, I can confirm that not everyone will like the healthier version of you. That's OK. Get healthier, anyway!"
Cole continued by writing that some people will celebrate a healthier version while others might miss the version stretched thin keeping everyone comfortable. "Keep growing and prioritizing yourself regardless. You have more strength than you likely give yourself credit for, and every step you take to honor your boundaries is proof of that," Cole added.
Cole concluded that people meant to be in a person's circle will love and appreciate growth, asking followers to "Drop a [heart] if you had a relationship change because you finally chose YOU!" Grande liked the upload without leaving a comment. The Daily Mail reached out to Grande's representatives for comment but has yet to hear back.

Tour schedule and acting exit
Grande is currently on her Eternal Sunshine Tour and will wrap up the North American and United Kingdom legs of her tour next month. Earlier this week, her representatives shared a statement saying she would be taking a "much-deserved break" from public-facing duties after the tour ends.

The statement announced her exit from the West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George, in which she was due to star this fall. Speaking directly to fans during one of her Chicago concerts, the Wicked star said she had planned to take a break "quietly, a long time ago" and made the decision "from a thoughtful and empowered place."
Grande is set to appear opposite Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro in the upcoming Meet The Parents movie "Focker-In-Law," which is scheduled for release in November. However, it is unclear whether she will return to the spotlight to take part in promotional duties for the movie at that time.

Insider concerns about health
Meanwhile, a source recently told Page Six that Grande has been "overworked." A source told the outlet that Grande has "been nonstop and it's taking a toll. She's never handled the public scrutiny well and constant chatter about her weight [doesn't help]."
Insiders told the Daily Mail that Grande's inner circle is convinced she is "not well." A family insider close to the star told the Daily Mail that relatives have begged her to take a break. "We have asked her to take a break. Actually we've begged her, like a lot. A lot a lot," the family insider said. "Not like a day or two, but a break break. She is not well. She is anxious and unhappy. She doesn't sleep enough, doesn't eat enough."
