Listeners will be told how and how the Siberian city lives.

The hosts of the morning program “Russian Peppers”, broadcast on the waves of “Russian Radio”, continue their large-scale trip to different regions of Russia. As part of the project “Peppers in the City”, Anton Yuryev, Polina Zhukova and Dima Morozov visit the most remarkable and interesting places, as well as get acquainted with the local culture, and then tell the listeners about it. The next stop for Pertsev will be the ancient Siberian city of Tyumen, from where they will go on air nationally on September 28 and 29.

The presenters will walk around Tyumen to see the main sights and interview ordinary citizens. The team’s itinerary includes a visit to a unique for Russia four-level embankment on the Tura River, a walk along the famous Tyumen Lovers’ Bridge, as well as immersion in rejuvenating waters at the LetoLeto resort. For a long time, residents and visitors of Tyumen have been conducting water healing procedures here. The hot spring, whose source is more than 1200 m high, has a healing effect on the body thanks to beneficial minerals.

In addition to its beneficial water springs, Tyumen is famous for its oil deposits, a frozen fish or meat dish called stroganina, as well as other culinary delights of the ethnic groups living in the north. To get acquainted with the local gastronomic taste, the presenters of Russian radio go to the Sibir-Sibir restaurant, under the guidance of a specialist, learn to make stroganina and prepare a pie with lingonberries and reindeer meat.

At the same time, “Russian Peppers” will have to engage in an original type of painting. Recognized artist Alfeya Mukhametova will show and explain how paintings are made with oil.

Previously, as part of “Peppers in the City”, radio presenters visited Tula, St. Petersburg, Syktyvkar, Sochi, Vladivostok and other cities. This tourism project is a unique initiative of Russian Radio, designed to introduce the general public to the pearls of Russian culture and geography.
