Lucelia Santos literally did not become free after the success of “Slave Isaura”. The Globo company, with which she signed a contract, gave her almost no roles. Years of waiting gave way to a scandal – the actress broke the contract and went to free swimming, but she never gained a second popularity.
Santos, 65, recalled that lack of money weighed her down so much that her stomach rumbled – she simply had nothing to eat. It will be more than ten years before she returns to the cinema, but more as a producer and director.
