Britain’s Got Talent singer Amy Lou Smith has given birth to a baby girl.
The 34-year-old tanning salon receptionist took to the stage to sing Beyoncé’s 2006 hits from the movie Dreamgirls on Saturday night’s show as the series made its debut in 2023, with all four judges sending her through to the next round of the league. .
And just hours before her audition aired on ITV1, Amy welcomed baby Aida into the world.
The rising pop star gave birth at the weekend, three months after her audition at the London Palladium was filmed.
Amy told The Sun: “My beautiful BGT baby, what a surreal thing to say!

Amy, who is already a mother to four-year-old Hudson, gave birth to Aida at 3.59pm on Saturday. Her audition, the first of this year’s series, was televised just after 8pm on the same day.
She said she had no idea her audition was appearing in the first episode, describing it as “perfect timing.”
Amy received a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli on last night’s show.
Simon told her: “It just doesn’t happen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so connected to an audience in all the years I’ve been doing this. Whatever happens next, it’s going to be great. Really, you deserve it.”
While Amanda added, “The minute you started singing I had goosebumps. I thought your baby must be sleeping in there and she said, ‘Oh, let’s go!’. You’re a star.”

Former Strictly Come Dancing panelist Bruno said: “The standard of a true artist is to take a Beyoncé song but make it your own. The interpretation was on another level. You are truly a revelation .’
And Alesha said: “This was by far my favorite audition ever!”
An impressive 6.2 million viewers tuned in to the first episode of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent series.
