Oni Press has shared some new preview images from the first two issues of their upcoming comic I lament. From the creators Cullen Bunn AND Arjuna Plumini, I lament follows the actors and crew as they enact the mysterious comedy Razide’s Lament, a three-act gothic horror. Dark mysteries abound as the actors, crew and audience members find themselves in danger and terrified of all that has led to the appearance of Razide himself.

The preview images for this comic are great. I really like the way we go from seeing the actors on stage to seeing them in costume with a real world around them rather than just in costume on stage. Everything about it gives me great The Phantom of the Opera vibes with a healthy dose of Lovecraftian horror. A lot comes to mind Call of Cthulhu campaign podcast, Tomes and Tentacles, every time I hear about this new comic. And given how much I loved all of these things, I can’t wait to read this comic. Lamentation #1 will be available on May 3, 2023 (Free Comic Day) and issue #2 will be released on June 7, 2023. It looks like this series will keep you on the edge of your seat, so don’t miss out to stay up to date with it.
