The 49-year-old artist’s fateful meeting with the john wick acting at a dinner party in 2009 led to nearly a decade of working partnerships, a love of art and books, and a friendship that culminated in their red carpet debut as a couple at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on June 2 . November 2019 Keanu’s decision to bring a date — whether it wasn’t a relative or a friend — was an important one. The actor remained (publicly) single long after the tragic birth of his stillborn daughter. Two decades later, Keanu has found happiness. Now it’s more official! Most recently, the couple took a romantic stroll in New York City in July 2022. She is described as “a text-based artist who uses language and word networks as the foundation for her work in painting, drawing and sculpture,” according to Ochi Gallery’s Alexandra submission. The talented artist developed her love of the word from an early age, having grown up in various countries: Mexico, Spain and France.

2. His work has been exhibited in prestigious museums

Alexandra’s art has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, the Contemporary Museum in Baltimore, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Galerie Gradiva in Paris, the Broad Museum of Michigan State University and at the Harris Lieberman Gallery in New York, just to name a few!

3. Keanu is one of Alexandra’s former collaborators.

Their initially professional relationship started with books! Alexandra contributed illustrations to Keanu’s first book, a picture book for adults called hymn to Happinesswhich was published in 2011. He also helped illustrate Keanu’s book of poems, darkreleased in 2015.

4. Alexandra and Keanu run a publishing company together

The publisher, called X Libros de Artista, launched in the summer of 2017. Moving away from conventional brands, the company focuses on “unusual collaborations” and books that “have no place because they are between genres,” as they have explained the business partners in an interview with Los Angeles Magazine in February 2018. The interviewer noted that they shared “easy communication” and spoke “in comfortable shorthand fueled by inside jokes and knowing smiles,” foreshadowing, right?

5. Alexandra is active in artistic philanthropy

He founded the grantLOVE project in 2008, which sells a variety of merchandise from hoodies to screen prints to neon signs to raise money for other artists’ projects and non-profits.
