Jenelle Evans won custody of the son jace13, after transmitting parental authority to the mother, Barbara Evans, for more than a decade. OR teenage mom 2 alum, 28, and her then boyfriend andres lewis he became Barbara Jace’s legal guardian shortly after accepting it in 2009. On Saturday, March 18, Janelle took to Instagram to share an emotional video of her signing the paperwork to once again become Jace’s official guardian.

And to prove that she and Barbara were on their way to a reconciliation after a years-long battle over Jace, Janelle adds that the family is planning a vacation! “I’m ready to go on a cruise and she and her friend have already planned a cruise,” she added of her mother.
At the end of the video, Janelle sits in her car as emotions overwhelm her and tears stream down her face. She showed the signed documents to the camera and wrote: “It’s done, it’s done.”
In a statement, Janelle offered more details about how she and Barbara finally came to an agreement. “My mother and I have decided together to give me back full custody because we want to rebuild our relationship as mother and daughter,” she said, for US weekly.

Shortly after the online troll attack, Jenelle told fans there was still a “legal battle” between her and her family. “A lot of personal things have been happening with my family lately that Jace should really go through with me,” Jenelle tearfully shared on an Instagram Story.
He went on to say that he still had a hard time watching scenes from the show with Barbara. “Someone took my baby, didn’t give me a chance to raise him and then kicked me out. She took my baby because she was jealous of the guy I was dating at the time,” Jenelle added of Barbara. “Let’s see the real reason I got kicked out and came home, and all my stuff was in the middle of the yard.” She concluded: “I, as a mother, would never do that to my children.”
A few months have definitely made a lasting change in Jenelle and Barbara’s relationship! Kudos to the mother/daughter duo for making it work!
