Rumer Willis celebrates the baby shower with mom Demi and stepmom Emma: cute photos

The Willis family has dealt with a lot in between. Bruce Willis’ diagnosed with dementia, but on March 12, they had reason to celebrate Rumer Willis’ children’s tea. Rumer and his family seem to be closer than ever these days, as they bond after his father Bruce’s failing health. In March 2022, the family announced that Bruce would be retiring from acting due to his diagnosis of aphasia, a condition that often affects speech due to brain damage. However, nearly a year later, in February 2023, they confirmed that the actor’s symptoms had worsened and that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Although Rumer’s parents (Demi and Bruce) divorced in 2000, Demi has always supported Bruce, Emma and the entire family through this difficult time. She too was included in the exchange of all family statements on the matter. “Since we announced Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD),” the family wrote in February. “Unfortunately, communication problems are just a symptom of the disease Bruce is dealing with. While this is painful, it’s a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”
