Halle Bailey’s Little Mermaid has finally seen the light. We recently saw the first trailer for Disney’s new commitment to live action and The reactions were not made to beg. Social networks exploded seeing the adaptation of some of the animation characters. Some they don’t finish convincing to viewers who criticize, complain or make fun of the appearance of sea creatures.
The characters who have convinced the least are Sebastián and Flounder. Ariel’s two loyal friends don’t get much benefit from their jump into the real action, and audiences have taken it upon themselves to let them know.
Flounder and Sebastián, the only thing I don’t like about the little mermaid? pic.twitter.com/SVW1CQ81Xo

Not everything is critical In this first glimpse of ‘The Little Mermaid’: Ursula and King Triton have in fact managed to win the approval of the public with an impressive Melissa McCarthy in the role of the villain and Javier Bardem in the role of Ariel’s father.
I love the little mermaid but it doesn’t quite convince me, Ariel has a nice voice but the character is a bit lazy, Sebastián is not that kind of crab, the effects are mmm, I liked Ursula they didn’t trust, maybe it’s time to see it to change your mind. https://t.co/wCuFxSrmcm

What if the Little Mermaid was black, if Sebastián was there to prepare a plate of seafood and what drives me crazy is Javier Bardem as King Triton who works for Disney…

Will Javier Bardem play King Triton? I’ll never beat these accusations on the dad thing, I’m afraid pic.twitter.com/8oDHeBUPx4

“Is Javier Bardem King Triton? I’m afraid I’ll never get over ‘father issues'”
My interest goes to Javier Bardem and Melissa McCarthy https://t.co/Mg9UlEdc5i

While the images don’t cause the best of impressions or reactions, not everything is critical of Rob Marshall’s adaptation. Another part of the public believes this is the way to go if it’s about bringing an animation piece to what its real-life representation would be.
I still don’t understand the criticisms of Sebastián from “The Little Mermaid”. What live action is supposed to do is bring cartoon characters into the real world, or what they would be like if they existed in the real world, so they have to put real crab pic.twitter.com/dTjdQ0RfHw

New song
‘The Little Mermaid’ will keep its original soundtrack, we will have to see how this curious Sebastián sings to the Cuban son of ‘Bajo del mar’ or how Bailey defends ‘Part of Your World’, the originals will be, but there are also new ones. Marshall talks to Empire about a new song for this remake called “For the First Time”. Marshall reveals that this song will be heard the moment King Triton’s daughter steps on the earth for the first time: “It’s about her feelings when she first hit the earth, we needed to create a number that could work as a montage to be able to lead Ariel into that experience: coming to earth, the moment she discovers her shoes, having the legs”the director explained. ‘The Little Mermaid’ and this new song will hit theaters on June 25th.
