It’s strange that he became an actor at all.
Sami Naceri was born into a large family of a Frenchwoman and a native of Algeria. Since there was not enough money, the future actor already at the age of 16 worked actively, including in extras, and apparently, because of this lifestyle, he instilled a passion for all kinds of lawbreaking.
During his acting career, Sami took four major breaks from filming due to law enforcement issues. His record includes numerous beatings, insults to police officers and even drunk driving – a real misfortune of French cinema. The publication Gazeta.ru writes that in 2008 he was sentenced to nine months in prison: three ordinary and six suspended.
If you think about it, the image of Sami is very similar to his alter ego from the Taxi franchise.
