With a total of 21 nominations, Netflix leads the list of distributors nominated for BAFTA awards this year for the fourth consecutive year.
The platform took first place with a record 14 nominations for Edward Berger’s German-language anti-war drama No news from the western front.
This is the highest number of BAFTA nominations for a Not In The English Film since then Crouching tiger hidden dragon in 2001, which was also nominated in 14 categories. The film won the David Lean Award for direction for Ang Lee, best film not in the English language, costume and music.

Other distributors coming out on top as the BAFTA nominations were announced on Thursday were A24 and Searchlight, each with 14 nominations.
