Fashion Week came to an end today in Paris, featuring Bella Hadid’s “liquid” dress from the Coperni fashion show, the “dirty” (literally) Balenciaga show, and plenty of extraordinarily beautiful images. For example, make-up with fish-like arrows on the models of the Dior fashion show, or piercings all over the face in the Balenciaga fashion show. We will tell you more about each of the makeup trends that will be popular in spring 2023.
Arrows: blot, fish and Julia Fox style
This time there were almost no arrows in the classical sense, they were replaced by more non-standard types. For example, the arrows on the models of the Dries Van Noten show look like shadows that completely cover the moving eyelid. Or multicolored eyeliners in a blue and purple palette created by the makeup artists for the Off-White show. Or the extra-long arrows clearly inspired by Julia Fox, worn by Versace and Balenciaga. And the icing on the cake are the fish arrows at the Dior show (the tails of the eyeliner in the inner corner of the eyelid are very reminiscent of fins) and the arrows that look like blurry spots at the Ann Demeulemeester show. Next spring we will definitely forget about the classics and look only for non-standard solutions.
piercing

Have we thought about getting our septum pierced after this Fashion Week? Definitely yes! And it’s not just him. The piercing trend seems to have come back straight from 2007. And not just on the podium. For example, Hollywood makeup artist Isamaya French added metallic embellishments to the packaging of her new line of beauty products and then used them in her makeup. Piercings in different parts of the face appeared on the models of the Balmain and Balenciaga shows.
gold accent

Gold highlights in makeup are a trend for more than just the first Fashion Week. This time, the arrows on the Dries Van Noten models and the sequins on the eyelids on the Giorgio Armani models were precious metal. We’re sure gold accent makeup will show up at Fashion Week for more than a year.
chrome accents

Silver continues to be one of the main colors in make-up just like gold. Plus, makeup artists are finding more and more interesting ways to interact with it. For example, making metal not only the eyelids, but also the lips.
eyebrow strands

For anyone who isn’t ready to lighten or shave their brows (like the Dodge Cat) for fashion’s sake, watch out for the life hack – apply a heavy concealer or foundation to the hairs and then draw a thin arc. By the way, the legendary Isamaya French was responsible for this make-up on the models of the Vivienne Westwood show.
