“In fashion, there are things that never go out of style: jeansthe white shirt and Chanel coatKarl Lagerfeld once said. We all know that the famous jacket designed by Gabrielle Chanel marked a before and after in fashion history and this season it has returned to take over our looks… makeup.

Almost a century ago, Chanel revolutionized women’s clothing with his first collections tweed. She loved the softness and irregularities of this fabric, its natural appearance and the unashamed elegance it can convey. For the Maison french, de tweed offers endless possibilities and exceptional creative freedom. It drops in different shapes, colors, styles. Now the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio is inspired by this emblematic fabric to Collection Yeux 2022. So is the tweed is reinvented this time in the form of limited edition eyeshadows from The 4 Ombres (Founded in 1982, this quartet of shadows is one of the foundations of Chanel makeup).

In this new collection are presented four exclusive creations with a lot of tweed raised in each of its individual shadows. The four-tone harmonies reflect the creative richness of the fabric. By simply mixing them, in the same way that two threads are intertwined, and by varying the intensity of each tone, elegant and daring results are achieved. When applied, the eyeshadows are as soft as fabric when in contact with the skin. On this occasion, they are accompanied by bags full of tweed Made by Maison Lesage, which has been part of CHANEL’s Métiers d’art since 2002. Each of the four harmonies has its own color palette and will suit all skin tones. The intensity of the eyeshadow can be modulated and the different shades combined to create looks that range from the simplest and most natural to the most sophisticated.

The first harmony Tweed Fauve, offers sun shades that add warmth to the look. Intense colors that sit between earth and fire, combining a reddish orange with the depth of an intense aubergine brown, which are filled with light thanks to the delicate shine of a satin coral and the reflections of an amber hue.

The second, Tweed Cuivré, illuminates the look with its golden reflections. An elegant combination that evokes the richness and sparkle of precious metals that Gabrielle Chanel loved so much.

Tweed Pourpre combines rose and mauve for a satiny and iridescent result. A harmony torn between delicacy and daring.

And finally, Tweed Brun et Rosea combination of timeless shades, is made up of four natural colors with different shades of brown and beige.

The eyeshadows are already for sale on the website of the Maison and for 78 euros they can be yours.
