We spoke with Visage.concept makeup artist and eyebrow artist Valeria Merzlyak and learned what makeup we will be doing for fall 2024.

This summer, red has taken over the streets. There is a veritable explosion of red clothing, accessories and bags. In the fall, the color will seamlessly transition into makeup.
Red graphic arrows or smoky eyes with colored accents, matte, satin or glossy lips, blush – whatever accent you choose, remember that the tone must be flawless. Red pigment can emphasize inflammation and make the look painful, so it is necessary to work out all the nuances with a concealer, unless, of course, the purpose of the make-up is “painful”.
Grunge
Singer Charlie XCX’s Brat album and advertising campaign created a real sensation, giving rise to many trends. Of course, the makeup industry could not stay away. This is where the tendency to neglect comes from.
Translated from English, Brat means “tomboy”. Let’s introduce the brat girl makeup. This is the exact opposite of a clean girl. Getting ready for a party, she carelessly applied black eyeshadow with her finger, danced until the morning, her makeup ran and left an unclear line on her lips.
To copy makeup in this aesthetics, you need to use black kajal, not think about the accuracy of shading and not even hide the bruises under the eyes with concealer – the effect of the “tired” look remains in trend.
Accent on eyelashes
For many seasons in a row, we have seen “naked” eyes, completely free of makeup, on fashion shows and in glossy magazine shoots.
This fall, the emphasis on eyelashes is back. False strands of interesting shapes (they can be glued not only to the upper eyelid, but also to the lower one), colored mascara, super-active eyelashes in several layers, painted with mascara are an excellent reason for experiments. If you are afraid to try colored mascara, take a closer look at the burgundy mascara, it looks quite natural, but it allows your eyes to “light up” and become brighter.
In addition to red eyeliner and colored mascara, you can try a colored highlight in the corner of the eye. When you want color but not brightness, opt for a colored dual-color glitter pigment. The trend towards naturalness has been around for a long time and is not going anywhere. You can experiment with trends as much as you like, but a beautiful tone, gelled eyebrows, concealer and blush are an eternal foundation that will always be in trend.
