5 Anti-Aging Treatments That Will Age You

In the right balance, plastic surgery and aesthetic cosmetology can prolong youth and delay the aging process by several years. However, some commonly sought procedures may have the opposite effect. Moreover, sometimes the problem is not the problem itself, but its incorrect implementation. Elena Makshanova, beautician at the Tori clinic, tells us what kind of manipulations cannot eliminate years, but on the contrary, make us older.

Surgery to remove deep fat deposits in the cheek area can initially make the face look slimmer and more elegant. However, after five to seven years, the ligamentous apparatus weakens and the face begins to pull downward. Cheeks lose their elasticity, wrinkles and wrinkles appear on the skin. As a result, the face no longer looks young, but tired. It is possible to compensate for the lost volumes only with fillers or regular plastic surgery.

Fillings

Fillers are certainly good for facial rejuvenation, but they need to be chosen taking into account the patient’s morphological aging type. For example, hyaluronic fillers are perfect for fine wrinkles. However, with deformation, they can, on the contrary, make the face heavier. In addition, the result largely depends on the selected drug and the optimal dose of its application. Large dosages cause the face to become pasty and swollen. There is only one conclusion: patients with deformational type of aging need to rely on alternative rejuvenation techniques such as thread lifting, RF microneedling or lasers.

In addition, excessively enlarged lips in women after the age of 45 can give the face a more tired and middle-aged appearance. Therefore, for such patients, the beautician will most likely recommend restoring natural volumes and moisturizing the skin.

Hardware procedures

Some anti-aging procedures affect the subcutaneous fat, providing a lipolytic effect, that is, starting the process of stimulating the breakdown of fat. With the deformational type of aging, this manipulation will have the desired effect – it will “shape” the face. However, in a tired type this will lead to skeletalization. The face will look exhausted afterwards. However, this does not mean that microneedle RF and ultrasonic SMAS lifting are contraindicated for such patients. It is indicated provided that the beautician chooses the parameters correctly: depth of penetration of microneedles, number of lines and others.

Botulinum treatment

The main thing in all cosmetic procedures is to know when to stop. Botulinum toxin is a great way to relax muscles and prevent wrinkles. However, completely blocking the facial muscles with medication will not make the face look younger, on the contrary, it will give it an unnatural appearance. Fortunately, many patients understand this and ask the beautician only to limit facial expressions, but not to eliminate them completely.

Laser resurfacing

It also happens that a beautician follows the guidance of a patient who wants to do the procedure more intensely and thoroughly. But grinding until the first blood comes will not lead to anything good. Instead of a rejuvenating effect, the patient may experience burns, fibrosis and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Maximum parameters are far from being indicative of high-quality laser resurfacing. Everything must comply with the indications to prevent the procedure from becoming obsolete. Same story with photo rejuvenation. You have to work very precisely with the pigment. Intense exposure will trigger more melanin production and the number of dark spots will increase.
