First look at True Detective: Night Country: Jodie Foster & Kali Reis headline fourth season of HBO crime anthology

HBO has the first images of True Detective: Nightland – the anticipated fourth season of the Emmy-winning crime drama anthology Real detectivewhich the premium cable network operator will offer in 2023.

The new season with two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster (The Silence of the Lambs) and the actor-boxer Kali Reis (capture the beauty) begins after the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, when the six men who run the Tsalal Arctic Research Station disappear without a trace. To solve the case, detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) must confront the darkness within them and dig for the haunting truths buried beneath the eternal ice.

Today is new Real detective The footage came via a sizzle reel for HBO and HBO Max programming, which will also include upcoming shows such as The last of us, the idol and Plumber in the White Houseand new seasons of series like PerryMason, successor and barry. While it doesn’t reveal any new story information, it does offer a first look at Foster and Reis in uniform and a sense of the thick winter atmosphere against which their Icelandic season plays out.

Created by Nic Pizzolatto, the series’ latest season was written, directed and starred Issa López, who produced Pastel alongside Foster, Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski and Mark Ceryak, as well as Mari Jo Winkler, Chris Mundy and Alan Page Arriaga, Steve Golin, Richard Brown, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Cary Joji Fukunaga and Pizzolatto. Producers include Princess Daazhraii Johnson, Cathy Tagnak Rexford and Sam Breckman.
