Following his message, Benoît Saint-Denis drew attention to the enormous consequences a defeat can have on his career: “We risk our health in every fight, in this fight we break our noses and take a lot of damage. Punishing a mistake seems normal to me. Losing a fight in MMA you lose half of your wallet, you can’t be sure of keeping your contract, your popularity will take a hit… I don’t care if I lost my invincibility, which everyone trusted, but apparently it’s a big plus for marketing.
