Directed by Ric Roman Waugh at the time, this drama seemed to appeal to audiences still shocked by the scale of the coronavirus pandemic. This disaster movie follows John Garrity, played by Gerard Butler, an architect and family man who is ready to do anything to save his ex-wife and son from the fall of a comet that is about to crash into Earth. It’s a movie that grossed no less than $50 million worldwide, not counting its arrival. HBO Max.… an amount that should have satisfied the producers since the sequel.
