Generally, stars hate to be known in their private lives, but there are instances where notoriety can be a big asset. Joseph Quinn experienced this recently. The person who played Eddie Munson in season 4 of Stranger Things recently got to know a celebrity thanks to the series’ incredible success. The British comedian, who was a guest on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show earlier this week, was arrested at JFK airport by New York customs for an identity check. The star told the anecdote on the host’s set:
“I almost didn’t get this far! I was taken to a place you could call a dungeon and was asked to wait there for about 20 minutes. Then I was called into an office and someone said to me, “What are you doing in the United States, sir?” she asked. I said I was going to meet Jimmy Fallon and do the Tonight Show, but they didn’t believe me!“
Luckily, the person who played a key scene in Upside Down performing a Metallica guitar solo was recognized by a second agent. “His colleague looked at me and said, “Leave Eddie alone! I’m Eddie from Stranger Things!” said. The other said, “Are you Eddie Munson?” said. He asked if I would come again next season and gave my passport back.The 28-year-old British actor will remember his arrival in the United States.
