Voice – Loris: "I want to prove that I deserve my place in the final"

Are you happy to find Nolwenn Leroy as a coach?

Loris: Pleased to meet you ! We started the ongoing collaboration with Marc Lavoine. We can say that the loop is closed.

How did you feel when you found out that Nolwenn Leroy drafted you in the semi-finals?

There were very conflicting feelings, I was happy to make it to the final, but compared to other candidates, I had a bitter taste. In my eyes, they all deserved to reach the final before me. I admire Nolwenn’s beliefs, once you believe in someone it goes all the way. I think he took into account my growth and development throughout the competition, because if we just had to judge last Saturday’s performance, I’m the first to say that the others had a better chance than I did. I could understand the nervousness of some towards my talent.

Have you struggled to feel legitimate as a finalist?

To be honest, for the next two days after the semi-final, I wasn’t like that and I was very uncomfortable. But today I realized something and reinvigorated myself by telling myself that if Nolwenn gave me a chance it was to not pity myself. I want to prove that I have earned my place.

Tell us about your song selection for Saturday night…

During this adventure, I wanted to move forward and get out of my comfort zone. I proved it last week by performing a song by Johnny Hallyday. Now I can go back to my true self.

Is the atmosphere among the finalists more of mutual aid or competition?

We’re all going to break our knees (laughs)… More seriously, we don’t necessarily meet on the set, everyone is really focused on their work, trying to have as much fun as possible.

How do you manage your work and shooting?

The sound dropped in the middle of the exams so I stopped everything (laughs). I took a risk, but I’m only 18 years old, I have a lot of time to go back to school. I don’t want to regret it and give my all for the final.
