Ben Wheatley’s zombie series Generation Z build its bite.
British broadcaster Channel 4 has shared a first look at the six-part series, which is currently being filmed in Wales by The Forge, the group in All3Media that produced the series. staff And Road kill.
Generation ZWheatley’s first TV series stars Robert Lindsay (Wimbledon), Sue Johnston (Downton Abbey) and Anita Dobson (Call the midwife).
The series centers on the fictional town of Dambury, where a chemical leak outside a nursing home causes an apocalypse led by elderly pensioners hungry for human flesh.
A group of teenagers become infected with the virus when one of the gang’s grandmothers becomes infected and attacks them.

Generation Z is produced in collaboration with ZDF and All3Media International. The film was commissioned by Channel 4 head of drama Caroline Hollick and commissioner Rebecca Holdsworth.
The series was written and directed by Wheatley (skyscraper) and is produced by Alex Kazamia. Executive producers are Wheatley, Mark Pybus, George Faber and Beth Willis.
