Lynda Carter, 75, turned heads this week when she posted behind-the-scenes photos from her role in Super Troopers 3 on Instagram, just days after celebrating her birthday on July 24.

The actress, best known for portraying Diana Prince in the television series Wonder Woman, which aired from 1975 to 1979, plays Governor Jessman in the comedy franchise. She previously appeared in Super Troopers (2001) and Super Troopers 2 (2018).

In the photos, Carter appeared youthful while lounging in a bathtub near a lake, a martini with large olives beside her. Her brunette hair was swept into an updo, and she wore a warm blush with a darker lip.

She was also photographed grinning alongside co-star Brian Cox, known for Succession and Nuremberg, as the two wore matching gray robes on set. A third image showed her with director Jay Chandrasekhar and other crew members.

In the caption, Carter wrote that the film arrives only in theaters August 7 and jokingly called out Chandrasekhar for including a bathtub scene she suggested he had promised to leave out.

Social media users flooded the comments with admiration. One wrote that Carter appeared to be getting younger, another called her timeless, and a third said she looks so vibrant and praised her for taking such good care of herself.

Carter on aging and the secret to her look

Carter has spoken openly about her approach to aging. In a 2024 interview with People, she said that people still recognize her as Wonder Woman and that she does not feel she has changed too dramatically.

She also confirmed she has never had facial surgery, explaining that fear has kept her away from it. She noted that she just looks like herself, but older, and said that seeing bad results on others has reinforced her decision to avoid going under the knife.

Carter was crowned Miss World USA in 1972 and worked as a singer before landing the role of Diana Prince. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, she reflected on what made the character endure, describing Wonder Woman as someone defined by goodness, kindness, and strength, a protector rather than an aggressor.

She added that women understand that kind of strength, the juggling of many things at once while still having a fierce protective instinct.

Carter also recalled the financial hardship she faced before being cast. Speaking to People, she said she had literally $25 in her checking account when she got the role, having spent years on the road as a singer since high school and run through her savings.

Beyond the Super Troopers franchise, Carter has appeared in the series Supergirl, the 2005 film Sky High, and made a cameo in the 2020 film Wonder Woman 1984.
