"Everyone is asking me the question!" : Mayel Elhajaoui (Tomorrow belongs to us) reviews the relationship between Victoire and Georges

The police have been in turmoil since the return of serial killer ex-girlfriend Vanessa. Its translator, Mayel Elhajaoui, tells us more about this conspiracy full of surprises.

What did the return of Vanessa (Victoire Maçon-Dauxerre) lead to for Georges?

Mayel Elhajaoui: It is very difficult for him because he has so many things that come to mind. Despite everything Vanessa might have done, she hasn’t forgotten their good times. When we love someone, we always have a little bitterness in our hearts. He is disturbed because it creates a dilemma in his mind…

Was this plot a challenge for you as an actor?

Yes, it was quite complicated to play. He asked me to delve deeper into how I would react to someone who betrayed me and also attacked someone who meant so much to me. Because Vanessa’s attack on Victoire (Solène Hébert) adds to the pain.

Exactly, will this tarnish his relationship with Victoire?

Of course, it will be complicated. My character got caught in the crossfire. Victoire hates Vanessa while Georges is nuanced. She tells herself that we should listen to her explanations even if she does something stupid. I love this pure side of him. Fans, too, because they often talk to me about it.

Can Victorire and Georges get back together?

Everyone is asking me the question! People are sending me messages, letters… It’s pretty crazy considering they haven’t been together for a while. It’s not on the agenda. Either way, these two characters really care about each other. Therefore, their relationship will maintain its importance on the screen.

How would you like to see the development of your character?

I want him to continue to thrive, especially in love. The arrival of other people from his family to Sète will color his life. For myself, I would love to have more scenes with Catherine Benguigui, who represents her mother Mona. It’s a pleasure to play with him. She’s funny, touching and totally crazy. I adore this woman!

In parallel with Tomorrow belongs to us, you play your show Mayel in real life all over France…

Yes, I’m playing in Sète on June 10 and Lille on June 24. I will continue where I left off in Paris at the beginning of the school year, then in Belgium. Thanks to the series, I meet people who come to see me and it is a pleasure for me to be able to chat with them after the show.

Tell us about this one-on-one scene: what’s the point?

I tell you who I am: I grew up in Picardy, not Sète… (Laughs) I’m of Moroccan descent, I have eleven brothers and sisters… Many people see me. Tomorrow is ours and tomorrow is ours. I’m like George. This is not the case. Sometimes I get away from this character! For example, I don’t understand computers at all…

Last February, we found you at France 2. instinctivelywith Charlie Bruneau and Christopher Bayemi. Finally a unit available in series…

I am very happy to be a part of this adventure where I have a very funny role, completely different from Georges. We start filming new episodes at the beginning of the school year.

Tomorrow is ours, Monday to Friday at 19:10 on TF1
