You succeeded where others failed with Beau geste, named after a 1939 movie starring Gary Cooper. How do you explain the enthusiasm of the people?
Pierre Lescure: I think people appreciated the fact that I wasn’t on set. When this show was offered to me, it was my first request. I wanted us to do anything to get where the audience wanted to be: on movie theaters, to meet those who made it. Also, the image had to be beautiful, like in a movie. All interviews are done with three cameras, providing a multitude of angles. Finally, there are the reports that complete the set. These are the secrets of Beau geste!
You, who are shoulder to shoulder with so many beautiful people, how do you enjoy every encounter?
Creators amaze me. I like it when they tell me under what circumstances they decide to take such a risk. There are people I’ve seen improve over the decades and they always have something to tell me!
Moreover, the show is renewed at the beginning of the school year!
I was happy like a child when I heard the news! I want to tell everyone who is still young that there is no age to enjoy doing rewarding things.
