“The lobby is so powerful! We bury and we shut up”: Julien Courbet recalls his father’s death in a resolute message

The famous presenter of M6 took the floor to condemn the lack of precautions that cost the lives of many people every year…

On Monday, May 22, 2023, BFMTV announced that the driver of the car that killed three police officers this Sunday in Villeneuve-d’Ascq in northern France tested positive for marijuana and alcohol. At the age of 25, he also died in the accident. It was going in the opposite direction. A 16-year-old girl who was in the police vehicle was also seriously injured. Finally, the passenger of the driver who caused the accident was transported in absolute emergency after he tried to attack the fire crews…

As the investigation for the murders and unintentional injuries continues, this tragedy continues to mobilize many Frenchmen, including Julien Courbet, who wanted to speak out on Twitter denouncing the great paradox:My dad was also killed by a drunk driver, don’t worry if we scared you while driving with drug packages that don’t kill anyone, you’re not ready to see messages like drink kills or anything else, the lobby is too strong! We bury and turn off #alcohol“.

in last February C you, Julien Courbet was already reacting to the Pierre Palmade incident and was confessing for the first time that his father had died under severe circumstances, when he was killed on the sidewalk by an alcoholic driver while he was just retiring. The hit-and-run driver later claimed he had his vehicle stolen:He didn’t stay in jail for a single day, finally got a three-month sentence! (…) Pierre Palmmade did not receive any special treatment because he was recognized. He may even have received special treatment towards himself.“. But the host of M6 explained that he would very much like this man to be sentenced to a prevention campaign: “Schools, colleges etc. I would accompany him to go. (…) It was useless for this man to go to jail. What prison could he take him to if he hadn’t met bad people? That’s just my opinion, then…“.
