SNL Save the best for last.
Presenter Molly Shannon brought back another of her beloved characters before Saturday’s show closed – the inimitable Sally O’Malley.
The sketch began with two young choreographers (played by Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang) who were told to get help from a more mature Hofer who could best prepare the Jonas Brothers for their Las Vegas sojourn.
O’Malley emerges, traditionally dressed in her red top and stretchy pants that she can’t pull up enough. And yes, she is proud to say she is 50 again and loves kicking, stretching and stages.
Asked if she’s really ready to take on such a responsibility, O’Malley explains how she’s just finished “five decades of dirty dancing and red-pants singing.” I have half a century of sizzlers in my Lady Schnizzle.
She then starts to pull up her pants so Fineman can’t contain her laughter.
“The Grand Canyon has nothing against me,” explains O’Malley, which means, um, well, you can see for yourself below.

When Yang says the Jonas Brothers are making a big mistake, the three siblings take the stage, where O’Malley refers to them as Neal, Calvin and John.
They then take off their clothes to reveal their matching red ensembles.
“Put some bonus in your jonas,” exclaims O’Malley as she joins the trio for some more kicking and stretching.
