How did you react to the announcement of your return to the game?
Rudy: When Denis told me I was going to replace Martin, I was a little upset because he was someone I loved, and I started adventures with him with the Reds. But it was a blessing in disguise because it allowed me back to adventure.
Going back to the game on a full stomach?
I wouldn’t be hungry for two days anyway! (Laughs). It was true that I was a little healthier than other adventurers because I ate. On the other hand, I remained in the uncertainty during the adventure. I had no information about the progress of the game or any time markers.
In what mood do you return to the adventure?
In the spirit of vengeance! (Laughs). I only thought of this after being knocked down by the reds. But I was quickly disappointed when I realized I was going yellow. I told myself it wouldn’t be easy for me. Also, Grace warned me as soon as she arrived, I shouldn’t talk big. So I changed my melody and chose not to attract attention.
Do you understand the rather cold reception of the Yellows, then their discomfort at seeing you looking for an immunity collar all day at the expense of camp duties?
Yes, they lost a strong ring Martin to save a red that didn’t need to shine at rehearsals (laughs). As for necklaces, I couldn’t waste my time arguing. I knew I was the one who jumped in the referral case. They complained about my absence, but it really suited them to stay at the camp and watch over me.
Do we think you enjoy playing your comrades with fake immunity collars?
I was on the hot seat, I had nothing to lose, I thought I’d better go out and have fun. I pretended to be at camp with the kids, set up a script and wanted to see if it worked. And sometimes, the bigger it is, the better it works. They were already at the bottom by showing them the strategic weapon, but when I showed them the vault of the second scroll, it was a blow! It was so funny to feel their fear. The most gratifying thing was seeing Nicolas give credibility to my story (laughs).
How did you approach counseling?
I was sure I would be eliminated, but I was calm and, above all, very happy that I had succeeded in my bluff. Because they all believed it! When Denis Brogniart asks if anyone wants to play the immunity necklace, they all turn their heads to me. Moreover, looking at the votes, it was Tania who would have been eliminated if Gilles hadn’t saved her with her Amulet.
Are you disappointed that he voted against you?
Not at all, we are in a game, it was him or me. We were allies in the adventure, we are still good friends today.
Why did you specifically miss Grace’s votes?
Just because he made fun of me a lot (laughs).
Did your little revenge console you for being eliminated?
Yes. You had to see them, looking for strategies to counter me all afternoon, it was hilarious. I really enjoyed bluffing everyone. (laughs)
How do you see the broadcast of this incredible episode?
I’m always going to get criticism from some people because I’m still eliminated in the end… but some will shut up.
