EXCLUSIVE: island of love Distributor ITV Studios has hired a Disney sales executive on the eve of the London TV screenings.
Cristina Brun has been appointed VP of Sales for France, Italy and Iberia in ITV Studios’ Global Distribution team.
She reports to David Wilcox, SVP EMEA, who in turn reports to Gisela Aimus-Minnbergh, EVP, EMEA. Brun will focus primarily on France and will report to her two executive-level managers. Your new role is a new one, we hear.
Brun previously worked in Disney’s international sales team for 12 years, acting as sales manager for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. She also spent 12 years at Paramount Global’s predecessor Viacom in various sales roles, including head of sales, EMEA.
For ITV Studios, the hire comes ahead of the Formats Festival events at the London TV shows next week. The company is splitting its Wednesday event in the British capital into Format, Unscripted and Drama sections.
It also follows Ruth Berry’s promotion to managing director of global distribution. She previously oversaw stage and catalog sales, but the change added formats to her duties. Arjen Pomper left the reorganization.
ITV Studios’ show priorities include those of Prime Video UK Fifteen Loveit is from the author Hania Elkington and mandatory line Producers world productions. It is billed as “a compelling exploration of the dangerous lines where personal and professional relationships collide, amidst the glamorous cut-and-squeeze world of elite tennis”.
It is on the blank front project icona six-part music competition series from MultiStory Media and ITV America in which Jason Derulo and Becky Hill mentor aspiring musicians to see if they can go from bedroom singer to star in a matter of weeks.
