When you host a live show, sometimes you have to deal with minor hassles. Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine shared some bad news with her columnists and viewers as she launched a new Cà vous show on France 5 last night.
The host indeed announced that Manuel Bompard, coordinator of Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s party France Insoumise, withdrew at the last minute. The politician lacked enthusiasm, the latter quite simply caught up in the electricity debates in the National Assembly on the eve of a new mobilization against pension reform.
“Sorry, we had a lot of questions for him. I hope next time”then announced the host.
That’s why the invitation was launched for Manuel Bompard, who could reschedule his visit for a future program and discuss the issue that has been stirring the French for weeks.
During this programme, columnist Patrick Cohen had planned a thread about the Nupes (New Ecological and Social Union) changes under the sulfur bill for retirement. It’s a topic that has stirred many French people for months: “17,910 changes”, followed by Patrick Cohen humorously emphasizing “I haven’t read them all”.
The presenters and columnists managed to bounce back by tackling another hot topic. The production indeed decided to focus on the deadly earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria today, in which at least 3,500 people lost their lives.
